Mounting Flexibility: Tethered Camera Unit The DrivePro Body 70 is composed of a control unit with a separate compact camera. Users can choose either a Velcro holder or a rotatable clip to securely mount the camera unit on military vests, making it a solid choice for filming in the dynamic environments public safety officers work in every day. Rugged and Durable Design The DrivePro Body 70 is built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, making it ideal for outdoor patrol. It is IP68 rated, offering full protection against dust and water. It also meets rigorous MIL-STD-810G 516.6 US military drop-test standards for shock resistance. Full-Shift Battery Life The DrivePro Body 70 comes with a high-capacity Li-Polymer battery, allowing up to 9 hours of recording on a single charge. This allows police and other professionals to record over a full shift. Camcorders, sometimes called digital camcorders, are versatile motion capture cameras. Selecting the right one for your needs depends on several variables. If portability is a concern, you should look at mini camcorders, which can travel with you everywhere. The camcorder's home country is another consideration. If you intend to use it primarily in the United States, an NTSC compatible camcorder is the way to go.
1. Determine what you need
- What type of photography will you be doing? (portraits, landscapes, macro, sports)
- The more megapixels often equates to more noise in the picture. If you're only printing images at a normal size then anything over 5 megapixels will be fine. If you start blowing your images up you might want to pay the extra money for the upper end of what's on the market today.
- While Digital SLRs are getting more affordable they are not for everyone. They do however produce extremely professional photos! While a Compact point and shoot is great for a trip, many are even waterproof.
- Not all "zooms" are created equal. Digital zooms simply enlarge the pixels which makes it look more pixelated. If you're looking for a zoom lens make sure it's an optical zoom (most modern cameras have them of at least 3x in length ie they'll make your subject three times as big with an increasing array of "super zooms" coming onto the market at up to 12x Optical Zoom).
